Like every year, Tet comes to technology car manufacturers racing to force consumers to spend more money. Accordingly, the fee increase is quite high, while the epidemic is complicated, many areas are isolated. Particularly in Ho Chi Minh City there are many quarantine areas due to many people suspected of being infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus. In fact, in such difficult times, technology car manufacturers should contribute a bit to support society to overcome difficulties, while simultaneously increasing the surcharge.
Tet will be the time when all apps call car and food delivery at a surcharge. The ride-hailing, food delivery, and delivery applications such as Grab, Gojek, Baemin, Now simultaneously charge a surcharge of VND 5,000-15,000 / trip. Especially during the peak days from February 8 to February 14 (from December 27 to January 3), this surcharge will be VND 15,000 / trip.

Representatives of applications said that the increase in surcharge for Tet holidays due to the lack of consumer demand, while the number of driver partners is insufficient, so the increase in surcharge is to ensure income for customers. The driver works during the Tet holiday.
The extra surcharge will contribute to ensuring income, as well as encouraging the spirit of activity during the holidays for the driver’s partner. In addition to the extra surcharge, some firms also launch a separate reward program for drivers who operate during the Lunar New Year.
